- Four Peaks bonfire, camping and off-roading
- BBQ and poker at friends house
- church & fellowship with my family
- In & Out reminiscing
- Goodwill expedition
The previous weekend I was a big fat lamo and just lounged around the house all weekend, due to a lovely migraine that finally went away by Tuesday. So, therefore I had to forfeit my weekend. No bueno! Girl's gotta, just wanna have fun!
I think I redeemed myself this weekend and I won't lie, I am feeling a little bit wiped!
Friday night a group of friends and I went out to Four Peaks (the mountains, not the restaurant) about 20 minutes out from East Mesa. Bonfire was present, along with spidey-dogs, smorvana, and hooliganism. I did end up getting kicked in the nose. Nothing short of a great time!
Ended up camping out overnight, even though it was not planned, and going off-roading the next morning. Why in the world do I get so motion sick? So annoying, makes me feel like a big baby. But the excursion was fun any how!!
Saturday night a good friend hosted a BBQ/poker night. 20 or so peeps showed up. Good food and convo! Smorvana was achieved this night as well, with much gooey goodness! And don't worry... I didn't participate in the poker, I already have a hard enough time holding onto to money. lol
Sunday morning I woke up early made it to church in enough time to get a good seat and a cup o' joe. Small group was especially good yesterday. We talked about making choices and the repercussions of good vs bad decisions. Sweet conversation and engagement, very encourage to Heather and I. Hope to continue with the topic. *see "choices" post for more details.
Sunday afternoon consisted of lunch at In & Out with Camie, Brady, Lora and Katie. We reminisced of favorite Disney channel movies.
A few of my favs:
- Blank Check
- Zenon
- Wish Upon a Star
- Motorcross
followed by a sweet Goodwill expedition. Yes, I am a Goodwill scrounger, I love finding vintage treasures among a sea of junk, as some would call it. This particular excursion resulted in me finding Rose. Yes, my new couch has a name and I love her! I have been looking for a couch for my apartment for a while and hadn't found anything I like within my budget. Isn't she beautiful?!
So all in all the weekend was a success!
